With a lifelong passion
for the unique acting and dancing captured
in Indian movies, I couldn't turn down the
opportunity to audition for the lead role
in Nanna Preethiya Hudugi. I learned and
grew so much from that experience working
with amazing people who taught me all about
the movie world. Thinking of NPH as a one-time
opportunity allowed me to enjoy the little
things more than veteran stars. I kept cut
outs of newspaper articles, framed posters,
and still have all my fan mail.
Although I did adjust back to my normal life, I always felt a draw back to being onscreen. So, three years later when I met Ashok Patil and he told me about 'Joke Falls', which is an inspired version of 'Chupke Chupke' and lot of modifications are made to the original story. I was very interested. Having watched the original film 'Chupke Chupke', I was excited about the storyline and the role of Vasudha so much so, that I took two weeks off of work and flew in from America for the shoot. With the help of an amazing cast, crew, and direction, 'Joke Falls' has turned out to be a hilarious, situational, family comedy. I truly enjoyed making this movie in its entirety. If the audience laughs half as much as we did while shooting, I'll be happy.
My first movie NPH completed 25 weeks and is a Silver Jubilee hit.
I won a People's Choice Favorite Actress award in Kannada.
I have done 2 films so far in my career i.e., Nanna Preethiya Hudugi and Joke Falls.
I have done my B.S. in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley and worked as Auditing Consultant.
