International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be hosted at Goa permanently

Film festivals are feast for film buffs. International Film Festivals are a step ahead that gives many people a chance to watch internationally acclaimed movies. Since films from various countries take part in these festivals, it also has a special value from tourism perspective. The very first International Film Festival of India was held in Mumbai in 1952 and from 1975 onwards, it was conducted as a fair every year. Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Trivendram, Hydarabad and Bangalore are the cities that witnessed the past 34 film festivals. In 1980 and 1992 it was held in Bangalore. Though during 2001 Bangalore was scheduled as the venue, it was differed at the nth moment.

Goa, one of the most popular tourist places of India is lucky enough this year to host 35th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Whats more, Goa will the permanent venue for IFFI hence forth! Their government was trying for this from quiet some time with a core intension of bringing potential international tourist. Aparna Sen, the winner of last years National Award will be the chief guest while actress Sneha from South will be the Tali Girl.
