Going beyond hat trick
'Hat
trick hero' title remained affixed with Shivarajkumar for
many years and none were able to break his record. Later,
it was the turn of his brother Puneeth Rajkumar to cross the
mark. There was not much competition when Shivarajkumar gave
consecutive hits in his early days but that is not the case
with boys today.
No exaggeration but there is dedication and genuineness in Puneeth that is hard to ignore. Appu, Abhi, Veera Kannadiga and now Mourya… 2003 and 04 was caught under the acting spells of Appu. His way of accepting a project could be one of the reasons behind his consecutive success. Before committing to anyone, he consults his father, mother, brother and his uncle. Though he is the only star in Kannada with four consecutive hits, he underplays the success in most of the occasions. His latest 'Mourya' a Rockline production marked 100-days on January 28 though the movie was criticized for poor direction and overdose of sentiments. Similarly, 'Veera Kannadiga' ran for 100 days but is not a film that Puneeth would talk about proudly. However, he is now busy acting for his home production 'Akash'. Apparently, there are chances of director, writer Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar directing a film for Appu. Remember, its not frozen yet and still in the primitive stage of discussions.
