'Adi' - new film of Audithya and Ramya directed by M.S. Ramesh

Auditya - son of eminent director, producer Rajendra Singh Babu has now become Adi! Nothing surprising if you think it is the magic of numerology! Changing names are no news nowadays. But that is not the case with this aspiring third generation star of Singh family. 'Adi' is the title of his new film directed M.S. Ramesh. As a matter of fact, it is not new either to see film titles based on heroes' or heroines' actual names, like Upendra, Darshan, Shruthi etc. Adi also means beginning. So it would have been a better choice for his introductory movie!

Audithya

For Auditya, beginning of film career as an actor was a backfire. His debut film 'Love' had set a very high expectation and created hypes but bombed in the boxoffice. We can recall the words of Singh Babu that the other producers have expressed their worries to have Auditya in lead because his debut film itself was being made with a massive budget! However, now it is his uncle and aunt - Jaijagadish and Vijaylakshmi Singh who are producing Adi. Though they have not mentioned anything about the budget, it can't be a low budget film anyway! 'AK 47' - debut Hindi film of Auditya with Sheetal and veteran Om Puri, Kiran Kumar etc in support was released recently. Though is not seeing any indications of turning out a blockbuster, this movie received a decent entry according to sources.

Ramya, one of most successful girl today is the counterpart for Auditya in Adi. 'He is not just a lover boy in this movie but a matured youngman who caries a lot of responsibilities' says director Ramesh who blended all ingredients to pull the pulse of youngsters. "It is a youth film" he added. For a change, Jaijagadish is not acting in this film! "If at all I act, I have to do the villain role. I'm boarded of it and my kids don't like me acting in such roles…" says Jaijagadish humorously. So he is playing the role of a producer - that it! Lets hope to see 'Adi' as a turning point for Auditya.
