'Adi' - new Kannada film of Audithya and Ramya

'Adi', new film of Auditya launched recently is moving briskly under the direction of M.S. Ramesh. Last week when we visited the shooting spot at Mysole Lamp campus, it was pretty interesting ambiance for two reasons. One- it was the birthday of director M.S. Ramesh and the second - the set was full of Kannada artists and technicians, which is pretty rare to be seen in a Kannada film set! Heroine Ramya was the center of attraction. Apparently, that was her first interaction with media after Adi was launched.

Both Ramya and Rakshita are the heroines in demand currently. Producers here were finding it difficult to get their call sheets due to their assignments with other language films. Thanks to the seven-week moratorium - these actresses are being kept away from non-Kannada film projects. Whats more, Ramya says, her remuneration is being blocked! Producer of Tamil flick 'Giri' refused to pay Ramya as that film was not screened simultaneously in Karnataka! Incidentally, Kushbu who acted in so many Kannada films is one of the producers of Tamil movie Giri!

There are more films in the pipeline for Ramya. 'Jambada Koli' is her next project. Known as an unambiguous girl, Ramya was the center of attraction of that day's press meet. She is rejoicing the company of the entire team of Adi. "I think, M.S. Ramesh stands first among all directors I've worked with so far…" she admitted. Often called as a quarrelsome girl, Ramya says with broad smile "I've not quarreled with anyone here"!

Adi produced by Vijayalakshmi Singh and Jaijagadish has Avinash, Shobharaj, Vijaynagar Kitti, Sundar Raj, Sathyajith, Rangayana Raghu, Dharma etc among the cast group.
