Kannada movie Ayya gets Ravichandran's maiden music direction

If anyone wants to make a rowdism-oriented film today, their first preference may obviously go to Darshan due to all his recent success from Kariya till Dasa. Now one more film of his is all set to hit the floor. Song recording muhurath of this film Ayya was held at Ashwini Recording Studio last week. H.C. Bhairegowda, a new producer who is into real estate business is trying his luck in this 'reel' estate. Ayya directed by Om Praksh Rao has Rakshita as the heroine. Om Praksh Rao's one more film Kalasipalya having Drashan and Rakshita in the lead is in progress too. Highlight of Ayya comes in the form of Ravichandran's music! Its his maiden project for an external film!

Darshan is appearing in a new getup in Ayya instead of his usual look. He appears in a peculiar costume with a big mustache and a cheroot instead of sword and dagger. "This outfit is necessary for role he is playing" said the director without revealing any other information about the movie. Rakshita has a very colorful role here she says. Two of her films are due for release. One is Kalasipalya and another is Love with Audithya. She is busy with a Tamil and a Telugu film too.

As Ravichandran was the center of attraction, focus of the event was on music. Ravichandran has special eye for music in his movies always. Good music is the first step for the success of any film his opinion. "People here in Kannada filmdom are not giving adequate care and importance to music and hence music companies have slashed their audio rights rates from 30-40 lakhs to 3-4 lakhs per movie" he claims. He has proven records in his career when it comes to film music.

He has the credit of giving first music hit films to all leading recording companies here - for Ashwini Audio it is Kanasugara, for Lahari Recording it is Prema Loka, Ramachari for Empire, Halli Mestru to Akash Audio and Malla for his own recording company Ishwari. His fee for Ayya music is Rs. 2 per cassette sale! This remuneration is not going to his pocket but to all people working with him from past few years without letting him down even during his bad days he said. He deserves a word of appreciation for this novel move. He will be composing five songs for Ayya and the introductory tune sounds very pleasant. Since its Ravichandran on musical strings, Ayya will certainly get an additional plus for publicity!
