Ayyo Pandu - new Kannada comedy film by Chidanand of Pa Pa Pandu fame

One of the most popular Kannada comedy serials on ETV is PaPa Pandu. Ask anyone out there in Kannadiga's locality, the hero of the serial is better known as Pandu than Chidanand. That is the brand Sihi Kahi Chandru - the maker of this popular serial has built with this gentleman who was into street plays, screen-printing etc for his livelihood. Now three producers - Ba. Ma. Harish (producer of film Majestic), Umesh Banakar and Mars Recording Company owner Naresh Jain are venturing on this popularity gained by Chidanand. They are producing a new comedy entertainer 'Ayyo Pandu'. This film was formally launched on last Monday in a different but meaningful way at H.N. Kalakshetra. Started with musical orchestra, this program proceeded to the honor function to well-known poet Nissar Ahmad. Chief guest Ambarish, IPS officer Moti Ram, Basantkumar Patil, producer Chakrapani, Sheshachala, Govindraju and actor Darshan were present at the function and wished the success to the film troupe. Poet, writer Nissar Ahmad during his speech talked about the problems in Indian films today and expressed his sadness about poorly made Kannada films today.
