BANASU honored with 'Appaji Gowda' award
Veteran
film journalist and critic B. N. Subramanya has bagged
the Karnataka Union of Working Journalists' 'Appaji Gowda
Memorial ' award for 2004.
The award is given in recognition of his outstanding service
to film journalism. Mr. Subramanya better known as Subbanna
who is the backbone of viggy.com, has been a film journalist
for more than 25 years and is the author of the much-acclaimed
column 'Naa Kanda Rajkumar'
in viggy.com. The column is based on his personal experiences
with late Dr. Rajkumar.
Mysore Harish from 'Aragini' has bagged the 2005 award for
his contributions to the film Journalism. Both the awards
were announced formally by Union President V. Venkatesh yesterday.
