Durgi - new film of Malasri produced by Ramu

Malasri who has given many hit films like Nanjundi Kalyana, Ramachari, Belli Kalungura, Gajapathi Garvabhanga and so on had entered the Kannada film industry through the film Nanjundi Kalyana. As a glamorous actress, as well as in action roles, she retained No 1 position for quite a long time. After film Chamundi, Malasri stayed away from silver screen for almost 3-4 years. She was busy in her motherhood with daughter Ananya. But not being an exception, like many others, celluloid has attracted Malasri once again and hence is acting in a new Kannada film Durgi - an action film produced by her husband Ramu under the banner of Ramu enterprises. Shooting of this film will initiate from 23rd June while the song recording from 14th at Akash Audio. Hamsalekha has scored the music with lyrics. P. Ravishankar who worked with Ramgopal Varma as an assistant director is directing this film with story and screenplay. Durgi is his debut film as fulltime director. Rajarathnam will be behind the camera. Nanjudi has written the dialogues while stunt is by Kanal Kannan.

Malasri, Raghuvardhan, Avinash, Doddanna, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Kalabhavan Mani, Sadhukokila, Karibasavayya, Honnavalli Krishna, Tennis Krishna, Bullet Prakash, Ramanand, B. Jayasridevi, Biradar, Ashalatha, Michael Madhu etc are among the cast.
