Ambarish to solve
the industry problem
The ongoing crisis in the Kannada film industry will be solved
only after December 4 says veteran actor and Minister of State
for Information and Broadcasting Ambarish.
"The
crisis would be solved very easily but I am held up with my
other duties till December 4. I have to attend the winter
session of the Parliament. I am also busy with Chamundeshwari
Elections. That's why I have told all the sectors of the industry
to meet me after December 4. Recently they all met me separately
and have discussed their problems. I will be calling them
after December 4. We will all meet under one roof and all
the problems will be discussed there itself. We will be finding
a solution for the entire crisis. Till that time I request
everybody to be silent and not to go to the media individually"
said Ambarish.
Meanwhile there is not much happenings in the industry. Earlier
the Cine Workers Union had boycotted 10 producers for their
indecent behavior and their decision to stop producing new
films in the coming years. Later the ban was lifted from veteran
producers like K C N Kumar. But still the ban is very much
applicable to the rest of the producers.
In a tit for tat situation, KFCC had cancelled the agreement
with the workers union for not consulting about the boycott
of the 10 producers. As there is no agreement with the workers
union and the KFCC, many of the producers had requested the
workers to form a parallel Union. But the Union members refused
to do so and decided to stay with the Union's President Ashok.
Finally nothing much has changed in the controversy-infested
industry and this may continue till December 4, until Ambarish
solves all the problems.
