Kannada film of Upendra - Gokarna audio released

Survival of the fittest is the main mantra of Kannada film industry in the current situation. Producers are adopting different formulas of publicity to sell their film. `Rowdy Aliya' film rally was one of them. Recently audiocassettes of film Gokarna of Upendra was released and the release function was different from the usual function. This film is competing with big banner films like Swathi Mutthu, Bisi Bisi, Veera Kannadiga and Annavru. Upendra announced the news of their home production Gokarna during the last week of November and as the film is expected to release on December last week producer has to grab the attention in a short span of one month! The audio cassette release function was held at The Club, Bangalore. Actor, politician Ambarish released the cassette and CDs. The event was followed by the ramp show and dance program performed by a local dance troupe. Two songs from the film were screened for the media.

Gokarna has a total five songs in Gurukiran's music. SPB, Udit Narayan, Chitra, Shamita, Gurukiran and Shankar Mahadevan have sung the songs. Upendra and Kaviraj have penned lyrics for four songs and a well-known song 'Bramha Ninge Jodistini...' of G.P. Rajarathnam. Gokarna is remake of Anna Malai. Rakshita is the heroine.
