Condolence Meeting in memory of actor Lokesh

"Lokesh was always like that. He used to leave the place as soon as he is done with his work. He completed whatever he intended to do in his life. He waited till our kids stand on their feet and departed from this world…" These were the words of Girija Lokesh during the condolence meeting organized on last Saturday at H.N. Kala Kshetra. It was a heartfelt evening. As a friend, as a life partner Girija Lokesh has spent several years with Lokesh but she courageously faced the reality along with their son Srujan and daughter Pooja. This earnest moment 'Namma Manadangaladalli Lokesh' witnessed their entire family members and friends along with hundreds of well-wishers. Lokesh's popular films were screened from morning till evening in his remembrance. It was a packed hall condolence meeting in the evening comprising almost all eminent theater, film and television personalities who offered their condolence and paid their homage to the great soul. Girish Karnad, Shrinivas Murthy, H.N. Narasimaiah, Jayanthi, Uma Shivakumar, Anu Prabhakar, Mukhyamantri Chandru, KFCC President Gangaraju, Vijay Raghavendra, Chandu Lal Jain, Ashok and many other people were present there. The way actor Shrinivas Murthy rightly pointed out, if it was in our neighboring states, entire film industry would have thronged there to offer their condolence but here one could see the absence of many film professionals.
