'Maharaja' - new film of Sudeep directed by Saiprakash

Sparsha, Huchcha, Vaali, Kichcha - all two letter titled movies starring Sudeep was his specialty. He put an end to this style during Swathi Mutthu. But his next film Nalla again came on the same track. People thought Sudeep is back to his normal style of choosing titles. Now with the new film Maharaja, all assumptions have come to an end. This shows, its not the title Sudeep is going after! R.S. Gowda, the producer of super hit movie Tavarige Baa Tangi remade the same in Telugu and Tamil that saw a great success is now producing Maharaja under the direction of Saiprakash. According to director Saiprakash who is known for sentiment films, Maharaja is going to give Sudeep a different image. Role of Sudeep in this movie has a lot of resemblance to that of Karna. Like Karna, even this Maharaja sacrifice on lot of things in his life. He is an uncrowned 'Maharaja' says the director.

Unlike other heroism-oriented movies, Maharaja has a lot of scope for sentiment and has equal importance for his mother's role too. Bharathi Vishnuvardhan plays the role of his mother. B.A. Madhu has written the story, screenplay and dialogs for Maharaja.

Maharaja will hit the floors on August 5th. But Sudeep follows a strict principle of acting in one film at a time. He is currently busy with his other project Nalla that is expected to get over by second week of August. So what is the solution? Simple - Maharaja will progress with rest of the cast till Sudeep frees up himself. Producer R.S. Gowda, a follower of numerology is very specific about August 5th as this is an auspicious day for him as per his horoscope!
