Sudeep's My Autograph - first film to complete 25 week in 2006

It is My Autograph that resurrected his declining film career as a hero and made him stand amongst a very few directors who have seen a stupendous success in their very first venture. His debut directorial production My Autograph celebrates its silver jubilee today (August 04). It’s the first Kannada film to hit 25 weeks’ mark in 2006. Yes, Sudeep has all the reasons to smile now – as an actor, as a director and as a producer!

Sudeep differentiates himself from the rest in his own way. His way of selecting the story, technicians and cast are quite unique. When he picked the story of Tamil Autograph, many had laughed at him! It was a story that touched his heart and he looked no further. Today the same has touched the hearts of millions! What else you need as an actor, as a director and as a producer!

“If producing a film with good taste is a mistake, I prefer making that mistake over and again…” These were the words of Sudeep who dared to pick subjects like Swathi Muttu and My Autograph! As a debutant director and producer (Kichcha Creations), he celebrates has set a new trend in the industry. People here put their names for remake films; they call a remake story as theirs; they add their name to copied music tunes! Contrast to this, Sudeep for the first time in the history of Kannada film industry honored the original creators! And he was acclaimed by all for his humble acknowledgement. What a great way to say ‘thank you’ as an actor, as a director and as a producer!

My Autograph had marked 100 days in all the theaters where it was released and it completes 25 weeks in Santhosh Theater, Bangalore. Success of My Autograph has encouraged this filmmaker to venture into next project ‘No. 73 – Shanthi Nivas’.
