Girish Mattannavar - brand ambassador for Om Ganesh of Saikumar

Girish Mattannavar who showed his frustration against the corruption by planting a bomb in legislator's home even though he was in police service as Sub Inspector is now a brand ambassador for film Om Ganesh that has Dialog King Saikumar in the lead. Girish disclosed this today in a press meet organized by Mohankumar, producer of the film. This film too is based on a person who fights against corrupt social systems. Girish Mattannavar watched the film and is happy that Om Ganesh is not only an entertainer but also gives a message to people to fight the odds. "Films, novels, story books and dramas play a major role in alerting public and give message to fight against bad systems in our society. Om Ganesh is one such film" says Girish. Usually he hates films of Siakumar and Thriller Manju as most of them are violence-oriented movies. But when PRO Nagendra requested him and explained the intension of this film, Girish agreed to watch the movie. He noticed some major incidents that we passed through in last 3-4 years that are covered in this film. Om Ganesh through light on many resent incidents including suicide of farmers and corruption in politics. It explains how politicians are making money in the name of development. All these made Girish join hands with the producer Mohankumar for the publicity of the film. Girish says, "Many sense here are close to my life. Is trying to tell people what I intended to do. I liked the scene where corrupt officers impose wrong allegations on the hero and sends him behind the bars." He recalled his jail days where a jailor used to tell him that 60 to 70% prisoners there are innocent.

Girish Mattannavar liked the story of the film, which matches his vision but as he says is not based on his life story. Only his last name Mattannavar is being used in the film. Since there is a news of Girish joining politics, people may think he is going to act in films too. But he is not interested in acting. "Just because cheetah is a good hunter one can't ask cheetah to compete with a peacock in a dance competition!" he says. "I have my own goals and want to attain it by making people aware of the corruption and odds of this system" adds Gisrish. He is not promoting the film for money. During the course of his mission, at some point he may need someone's financial support and producer Mohankumar has promised him that. Girsih has ideas of writing books based on his life and his own experiences. He may even right film script on these lines and if so, he wants to give it to Sunilkuar Disai to direct the film!
