We
pay him our respectful homage and pray to God that his departed
soul be accorded a respectful place in His abode.
State funeral at 3.30 pm today (Apr. 13)
'He
can never die, for he lives in all of us' says an actor while
the other say 'I can't imagine Kannada cinema without Rajkumar'…
Opinions may vary but the unanimous message remains the same.
Because he was an integral part of Kannada film industry -
be it the celebration time or when the industry was on fire.
For that matter, he was there whenever Karnataka needed him
irrespective of cinema issues, cultural or social matters.
That is what differentiates him from the rest. Despite of
reaching the greatest height possible, he was the simplest
and most humble of all.
After fury and fire grip the city last evening, situation
was brought under control at Kanteerava Stadium where the
thespian's body was kept for public homage. However, unbelievable
number of fans thronged there was a big challenge for the
policeman to handle. Crowed slowed down after midnight and
some VIPs and industry leaders could pay their last homage
only after 2 am including actor Vishnuvardhan and Ambarish.
Nagartnamma, MP Shankar, Shivaji Prabhu and Rajanikanth made
it this morning. His body will be kept at Kanteerava Stadium
till 12.30 p.m. today (April 13) for public homage and the
state funeral will be held at Kanteerava Studio by 3.30 pm
today (April 13).
