Prakash falls into the slot of very few successful directors whose debut directorial production 'Khushi' competed with films of 'saleable' stars and won the race! After Khushi now 'Rishi', his second is all set to hit the screen by January 21st. While Khushi was targeted at younger crowed, Rishi is for the entire family. Yes, it is a family pack in true sense. Shivarajkumar, Vijay Raghavendra and director Prakash are cousins! Last Monday (Jan 3) when we visited Sammy's Dreamland, both Shivarajkumar and Radhika who were part of the last day's shooting had more than one reasons to smile. First being the successful completion of a good project and second was the State Award announced two days prior to that! Radhika was overjoyed while it was the third time Shivarajkumar receiving the Best Actor Award. Om, Hrudaya Hrudaya and now for Chigurida Kanasu. Apparently, all three were his home productions! While talking about the awards, Shivaraj said, "in our family, Appaji (father) got innumerable awards and accolades. Then we all - me, Vijay Raghavendra (Kotreshi Kanasu, Chinnari Mutta), Puneeth (Eradu Nakshatra, Bettada Hoovu), sister Poornima (Premada Kanike) and even my daughter (Andaman) got an award".

Talks obviously revolved around 'Chigurida Kanasu'. There was an opinion among some that Shahrukh Khan starrer recent movie 'Swadesh' is a remake of Chigurida Kanasu. When asked, Shivarajkumar said "I too have watched Swadesh. Of course there are some situational resemblances. But we cant say it's a remake. Shahrukh's performance was awesome in that movie. In fact, his previous film 'Veer Zaara' too was amazing. His performances in both the films are so different... very lively..."

According to Shivarajkumar, Rishi has all the ingredients to be a successful film because director Prakash had a very defined characterization for every roles. "It was pretty tough initially to understand the chemistry but got it right moving forward" admitted Shivaraj. Sindhu Tolani is the counterpart for Actress Radhika in Kannada movie Rishi

Shivaraj while Vijay Raghavendra and Radhika form the second pair. Rishi revolves around the consequences that take place between a sophisticated business tycoon (Rishikesh) and a rough, rigid college student. And hence, Vijay Raghavendra looks completely different from lover-boy getups of his earlier films. Vijay apparently will be acting in Prakash's next film as well! Radhika intends to give verity this year. While Rishi is releasing this month, her next, 'Good Luck' getting ready for February where she is featured as a model. She is also acting in Hettavara Kanasu as well as in Auto Shankar. Gurukiran has scored the music for Rishi. Lets hope to see Rishi surpassing the success of Khushi!
