Star Vishnuvardhan, Upendra and Shruti are celebrating their birthday

Many Kannada film stars have their birthdays falling in the month of September. Actor Sudeep took a day's break from shooting of his directorial debut 'My Autograph' and traveled from Kerala to celebrate his birthday at his residence on Sept 02.

Today (Sept. 18) three stars - Vishnuvardhan, Upendra and Shruthi are celebrating their birthdays.

Team of Vishnu Sene, the latest film of actor Vishnuvardhan is celebrating the star birthday in Mandya. Vishnu has completed 33 years of film career. Now since Dr. Rajkumar is not acting in any films, Vishnu is the senior most actor to continue film profession with innumerable hits in his credits. However, after Yajamana, there was nothing significant in the offering for this star. Flooded remakes created the further dent. For many established stars and filmmakers, survival became the biggest challenge. If you look at the recent films of Vishnu, most of them are remakes from Kadamba, Sahukara, Apthamitra, Varsha to Vishnu Sena as the latest addition! Many of his fans and Kannada cinegoers are desperately waiting to see the glory back in the years to come.

Actor Upendra who is celebrating his birthday today is on the high. His newest film 'Kalki' went on the floors today and the team celebrated his birthday on the sets of this newly launched film. Last year was pretty productive for this star with 'Gowramma' hitting a century. News however was not upto the mark and now, Auto Shankar is doing moderately. Upendra twice in the past had said "Film is not my cup of tea. I'm not here to continue for long. But yes, film profession is a jump board for me to attain my goals". He repeated the same in a press conference recently hinting his plans of venture into other areas! He was mute when asked what is there in the pipeline! He is committed for 5 - 6 new projects and it starts with Kalki says Uppi. So will Uppi be giving the creative treat to Kannada film buffs in the future? Time will decide.

Actress Shruthi

Shruthi, one of the multifaceted actresses Kannada film has seen too is having her birthday today. Sidelined from mainstream cinema after her marriage, Shruthi is all set to start her second innings of her film career. Though her last film Gowdru had nothing much to talk about, her latest film Rama Shyama Bhama, the directorial debut of Ramesh Aravind is featuring Shruthi very differently. Apparently, she was considered for the key role of Girish Kasaravalli's latest film Nayi Neralu but was not selected however.
