  Karnataka State Film Awards 2004-05

Winners of State Awards 2005  - Girisha Kasaravalli, P. Sheshadri, Arati, Indrajith Lankesh

Information Minister Shivaram announced the list of Karnataka State Film Awards for 2004-2005 today at 05.00pm. Monalisa directed by Indrajith Lankesh bagged the Best Film award while film Beru directed by P. Sheshadri and Gowdru directed by S. Mahedra awarded second and third place respectively. A.T. Raghu is honored with late Puttanna Kanagal award and Dr. Rajkumar award goes to M.P. Shankar. Chandulal Jain and Vajramuni are sharing lifetime achievement award. Actor Murali has won the Best Actor award for his performance in film Kanti and Shruti as Best Actress for Gowdru. Sadhu Kokila has won the Best Music Director award for Rakshasa while Venu bags Best Cinematographer award for his work in Encounter Dayanayak.
