Abhiman Studio gets facelift by Sudeep

Storyline of film Swathi Mutthu - new venture of Sarovar Productions' is so strong, it requires great execution and presentation to be in par with its original version Swathi Muthyam. So director D. Rajendra Babu started looking for apt location for the shooting when the film was launched last month. After a lengthy hunt, he felt Abhiman studio of late Balanna (Balakrishna) would be the right choice. Sudeep and his father Sanjeev too felt proud to shoot their film in Abhiman Studio, which was a dream project of Balanna. But when Sudeep entered the premises with his troupe, was shocked to see the place, which was in awful state. The house where Balanna spent his last moments was on the verge of collapsing. His remaining (Chithabhasma) filled in a mud pot was dumped near the house. None of the Kannada film industry people showed interest in renovating this studio of this veteran who served the industry for several decades. Hero of Swathi Mutthu-Sudeep who came here for shooting turned into a real hero by taking up the task of renovating this monument like studio. He transferred Balanna's 'Chithabhasma' to sepulcher and is constructing a memorial structure at a cost of one and half lakhs. Sudeep feels this will be a tribute to Balanna, a great actor of yesteryear. Now the studio is ready for shooting and Swathi Mutthu film troupe has shot some scenes in which Sudeep, Meena and master Kishan took part.

performance of Radhika in Swathimuthyam. Sudeep was little scared in the beginning to play the role played by Kamal Hassan in its original version but as progressed he is comfortable. D. Rajendra Babu says Sudeep is not imitating Kamal Hassan but is playing this role in his own way and his performance is just excellent. All artists and technicians are working day and night to complete the film on schedule as film is supposed to hit the screen on December 19th. Doddanna, Srinivasmurthy, Leelavathi, Pavithra Lokesh, Lokesh, Pramila Joshai, Ramakrishna, Srilalitha etc are among the cast.
