'Tananam Tananam' - new film by Kavita Lankesh having Ramya, Rakshita and Shyam in the lead

It's not a new trend but a healthy move. Tieup with a Government organizations however is quite unique. For the first time, producer N. M. Suresh and Kavitha Lankesh have made a pact with the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited, a subsidiary company of The Government of Karnataka for the promotion of their new film 'Thananam Thananam' starring Rakshitha, Ramya and Shyam.

The pact was signed recently during the release of new Herbal Care bath soap by KS&DL at a function held at the company's premises in Yeshwanthpur. Jnanapeeth award winner Girish Karnad and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan who are seen in pivotal roles in this film released the Herbal care soap.

Talking about the importance of this pact Kavita Lankesh said, "Thananam Thananam focuses mainly on Karnataka's culture and tradition. KS&DL is also a synonym of our rich culture. That's why we are associating together. We are very happy to be a part of this 90 year old market leaders."

In his speech the KS&DL Managing Director Perumal mentioned that Rs. 8 lakhs has been given to the producer Suresh on top of their investment in publicity. He hopes that they will get good return. He also urged the media to write more about KS&DL, which has nearly 90 years of existence.

Girish Karnad told that he had four reasons to act in this film and the main reason was Bharathi Vishnuvardhan. "The whole generation of ours is still madly in love with Bharathi Vishnuvardhan. I always wanted to act with her and here I am," concluded Girish Karnad. K. Kalyan was also present at this occasion who has jointly scored the music with well known violinist L. Subhramanyam.
