It's now turn for Vishnuvardhan. Bangalore University has awarded actor Vishnuvardhan an honorary Doctorate, citing his tireless efforts and contribution to film industry and the society. He is the second Kannada cine actor to receive doctorate after Dr. Rajkumar being honored by Mysore University.
"Nanna adhrusta…" said Vishnuvardhan talking to viggy.com exclusively. "This is an esteemed University. Since I heard about it, the image of my master H. Narasimhaiah is in front of my eyes. This credit should go to everyone from whom I've learnt one or the other thing including ace filmmaker Puttanna Kanagal. I don't know whether I'm eligible for such great honor but certainly I'm lucky enough to be graced this way. It is increasing my individual responsibilities and I should adhere to it," added Vishnuvardhan. He will be receiving the degree from the University during the 41st convocation on January 06, 2005.
There is no need to talk about Vishnuvardhan's achievements in 33 years of acting profession. He has acted in 190 films including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. He received six state awards and nine film fare awards and a rajyotsava award. Snehaloka in his leadership conducts regular heath checkup camps for general public.
What a wonderful place to be! How about having some space for Karnataka and its glory? This might be a topic to build upon. I am sure, if you decide "yes" to it, you can make it best source for all those information!
