New definition
to 'Ramayan' by G.V. Iyer
G.V.
Iyer one of the most creative brain in the Kannada film
world has now stepped in a unique domain of a producing a
film `Ramayana' in Sanskrit. There are many telefilms, serials
and film on this mythological 'Maha Kavya' where each one
tried to project their views and twists. Iyer, now venturing
in to making this film `Ramayana' in Sanskrit by giving
it a new dimension.
"When Valmiki wrote Ramayan, he himself experienced it, then
wrote it. So whatever we do or say, has to come from within
us. This film should be contribution to the world by India"
he said.
He looks at every instance of this 'maha kavya' from real
life scenarios. He compares 'Rakshas' (giant) to decease and
'Astras' (weapons) to medication we do.
Though he himself is the producer of this film, is sure about
the budget. According to an estimate, one hour of graphics
will cost him around 1.26 crores he said. As he was looking
for quality actors who are fluent in Kannada and Sanskrit
with a clear pronunciation of 'shlokas' got thousands of applications.
Finally, Ramachandra Bhat as Rama, Prabhakar Rao as Laxman,
Shilpa Uttappa as Sita and Girish Rao as Vishvamitra are been
finalized he added. Planing to go in full swing, Iyer is expecting
this film to be ready by end of next year.
