Comedy king Jaggesh strikes bake again in 'Makeup'. Infact
this film may give a break to Navarasa Nayaka. Singeetham
Srinivas Rao's direction is absolutely marvelous.
This is a simple comedy film. A police officer K.D. Roy
(Jaggesh) and a mafia gang headed by Shakti Kapoor who go
in search of a briefcase containing CDs and other details
of terrorism. Commissioner (Bank Janardhan) who comes to
know about briefcase assigns this mission to Roy who is
known for his makeup to capture culprits. Roy with his assistant
(Tennis Krishna) starts watching the old lady Baby known
as 'Doddamma' and her bungalow for clues. Roy fools her
to leave for Ahmedabad and enters the house with Doddamma's
makeup.
While
he was hunting for the briefcase Doddamma's niece Pooja
(Laila Patel) enters the house. She falls in love with Roy.
Pooja is not aware that Roy is posing as Doddamma. At the
end, Roy in Doddamma's makeup, Pooja, Doddamma's lover Boby
(Dayanand), the mafia leader Shakti Kapoor who is in search
of the briefcase etc are celebrating Doddamma's birthday;
thrill builds up when the actual Doddamma lands up from
Ahmadabad. Finally the secrete of the briefcase and Roy
as Doddamma comes to light.
Jaggesh as Doddamma has done an excellent job. A sheer pleasure
for Jaggesh fans, though the makeup looks a bit artificial
as Doddamma. He succeeded once again in the role which only
Jaggesh can do. Glamorous Laila Patel in shorts, Komal as
a Karate master, master Yatiraj Jaggesh, Bank Janardhan,
Tennis Krishna adds value to Jaggesh's comedy. Good music
by John. Well known Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor and
Pavitra Lokesh does not have a significant role.
