Typical Sai Kumar movie 'Super Police' is an action
oriented film revolving around the old formula of 'Khaki'
and 'Khadi' (politicians and police). Aiming create record
by acting in police role in maximum number of films, actor
Sai Kumar has a perfect fit for his image in this film.
First half of the film itself has ten fights!!!
Dattatreya (Sai Kumar) is an honest police inspector bounding
to rule book with 'law and order' principle. He never entertains
any politician nor their pressure and just goes ahead smashing
down and killing rowdies who have political backing. His
loyalty and bravery sends danger signals to home minister
(Doddanna) and he nests plans to eliminate the police office
with the underworld don Nayak (Gurudat). But Datta is always
the winner. Disgusted with corrupted politics and traitorous
police officers, Datta
resigns from his work and starts 'IPS' (Indian Public Service)
to serve the society and needy people. His popularity raises
further which make the minister further furious. Bhavana
(Bhavana) a TV reporter captures various good deeds of Datta
in her video. Chief
Minister (Anant Velu) who sees them understands Datta's
loyalty and ability. And offers him the post of Home Minster
despite of various opposition he receives. Datta turning
from 'Khaki' to 'Khadi' cracks down the underworld dons
and kills Nayak at the end.
Sai Kumar comes back with good acting while dialog
delivery alone was his forte in his earlier films. Bhavana
has nothing much to show other than her glamorous body with
diminutive costumes! Doddanna, Anath Velu and Tennis
Krishna are normal in acting while Gurudat was
looking a little overacting.
M.S. Ramesh (director of Dhum and Druva etc) has
written sharp dialogs to boost the image of Sai Kumar. Dialogs
like "Because of you people, education
has become a botheration in the present Indian generation
but Datta will change the situation... Do you need
any clarification?..." gets applause from
the audience. Ashok Anand's music has nothing much
to mention. If you are an action film lover, Super Police
will certainly entertains you.
