New Films this week - Annavru of Ambarish, Ardhangi of Anuprabhakar

Film Annavru - remake of Tamil hit Dalapathi, produced by M.C. Dayanand is hitting the screen this week. Ambarish and Darshan are in the lead. Om Prakash Rao has directed the film. Suhasini has reentered Kannada film industry through Annavru. In the original version Dalapathi, Mummatti and Rajanikanth were in the lead and in Annavru Ambarish and Darshan are portraying those roles respectively. M.S. Ramesh has written the dialogues and Anaji Nagaraj is the cinematographer.

This is the third film of Darshan that is releasing in one month's span. During November second week his film Namma Preethiya Ramu was released and next to that was Dasa which is doing well in the box office. So for this film, other than competing with rest of the major films that are currently running, Darshan has to compete with his own films!.

Film Ardhangi having Anuprabhakar in the lead is releasing this week. Ardhangi is based on the delicate relationship between husband and wife. A wife who is compared as 'Kshamaya Dharithri' too has limit for her patience is the story line of the film. Y. Nanjundappa has directed the film with story and screenplay. Y. Srinivas is the producer.

V. Manohar has scored the music. Sunil Kumar, Karibasavayya, Biradar, Manjumalini, Rekha Das, Vijay, Jo Saiman, Mimicry Rajgopal are among the cast.
