'Siddu'
- releasing this week!
Kannada film industry is shining. Awards and accolades are flowing in
and new films are doing good business in the box office. Support and
appreciation by public encourages filmmakers to produce products with
quality tag. 'Siddu' a film by Mahesh Sukhadare falls under this
category and is releasing on July 22, 2005.
After the disastrous failure of Sarvabhouma, director Mahesh Sukhadhare
of Sainika fame has bounced back with renewed vigor and enthusiasm. He
retrospected and decided to come out of patriotic story concepts. And
the result is Siddhu, a pure family entertainer with a bunch of fresh
talents and a new team including budding star Murali.
Murali, one of the most successful youngsters in Kannada cinema today
plays the lead role and Deepu counterparts him. Akhilendra Mishra,
widely known for his marvelous performance and mannerism as 'Kroor
Singh' in TV serial Chandrakantha plays the vital role.
Chandru who produced films like blockbuster Annayya and Sainika is the
man behind Siddu. And R.P. Patnayak has scored pleasant music for Siddu.
Shot in exotic and perilous locales abroad and within India, Siddhu is
nested well to be a perfect choice for youngsters and an apt movie for
family audience with lively characterization, picturization and good
music.
