M.S. Ramesh's films always have an extra plus - if not for anything else, for his sharp dialogues! This writer who gradually leaned towards direction is now aiming high with 'most successful' youngster of the industry - Darshan Toogudeep. Though Darshan so far been seen in variety of roles, most of his successes were from 'action-oriented' movies and by default, he is branded for such movies in Gandhinagar. 'Swamy' that is falling under this bracket is hitting the screen this week. This movie features Gayathri Jayaram as the female lead who returned to Kannada after a gap of few years. Neela was her last Kannada movie. Basavaraj, who is primarily a distributor, is the producer of this film and Gurukiran has scored the music. According to sources, this film goes well with Darshan's current image!

Darshan currently is the golden goose of tinseltown! Om Prakash Rao has hit the jackpot much before the release of his directorial production 'Mandya' starring Darshan. This project was sold the very next moment of its announcement for a record sum! Darshan who is not at all choosy, is in the attitude of gratitude mood! His call sheet gave a rebirth to Anaji Nagaraj who is apparently a close friend of Darshan and everyone knows about the success of their venture Shastri. After Anaji Nagaraj, it's now Gurudath for whom Darshan has signed a new film titled 'Datta'. And Ramya pairs Darshan for the first time in this movie. When Darshan was studying at MGR Institute Chennai, he stayed in Gurudath's house and was well taken care by Gurudath's family members. And now, its time for Darshan to say 'thank you' and hence this film!
