Paramesh who produced Sadhu (starring Thriller Manju) two years ago is back with a new project O Gulabiye. This second film of his was kicked off last week. Film has breath of freshness from cast group to technicians. He is introducing new hero Vivek Beedu and heroine Mallika to Kannada filmdom. Suhasini is the main attraction of the film. She plays the role of a College Principal. Narendra Babu who worked as an assistant director for more than ten years is directing the film. This is his directorial debut as an independent director. Santhosh Harithsa is the cinematographer. He has Ramayan, Alif Laila and some more mega serials in his credits.

Heroine Malika is currently working with Air Deccan as an airhostess. Previously she acted in a serial 'Aghata', which was telecasted at Udaya TV. She could not continue acting as her current job didn't permit her to do so. She wanted to act in films from last few years but didn't find good subject she says. According to Mallika O Gulabiye has got good story. If a person fails to make a right decision during his collage days or if his parents fail to guide their children properly, how one gets into trouble is the story line. "O Gulabiye gives a message to youth and parents. And I liked the subject" explains Mallika.

Vivek Beedu is a graduate in software engineering. When Paramesh approached him and offered to act in O Gilabiye, Vivek went to Mumbai and took 3 months dance training from MTV choreographer Anmol. Then underwent a formal training for 6 months with stunt master M.D. Prakash for perfection in fight sequences.

M.N. Krupakar has scored the music for O Gulabiye. Paramesh wants to give a good and quality film to Kannada film viewers. So he has given equal importance to script as well as music. He says " We took more than 6 months to prepare this script and it came out well as expected. Suhasini has gone through the script and I am happy that she appreciated the work". Nagendra Prasad, K. Kalyan, Ram Narayan and Srichandra have penned the lyrics.
