G.V. Iyer's book
on Ramayan released
Chief Minister S.M. Krishna released veteran Director
G.V. Iyer's script for his new movie Ramayana.
Mr S.M. Krishna said, "Ramayan and Mahabharath
have to reach our younger generation, now a days which has
caught up in the twiddle of westernism. To reach them one
has to go through the media like film and television."
In this book Iyer had interpreted Ramayan through yoga
and human body. He looks at every instance of this 'Maha
Kavya' from real life scenarios. He compares 'Rakshas'
(giant) to decease and 'Astras' (weapons) to medication
we do. In his film Ramayana is using high-end graphics which
should attract the youth.
Critic L.S. Sheshagiri Rao was also present in this
function said, each character in the book was a metaphor.
Rama is dharma, Sita is science, Janaka is the explorer who
discovered Sita, Dasharatha is the kingdom of the body, Ravana
is the kingdom of lust. Sheshagiri Rao said the book is the
exploration of the different levels and faces of Ramayana.
The book released in that function includes the script of
Ramayana and critiques worked by 22 people including S.L.
Bhyrappa, G.S. Shivarudrappa, Nittor Srinivasa Rao, Chennaveera
Kanavi and Sumateendra Nadig.Actress B. Sarojadevi
was also present in the function.
