Ravi going great guns!
We
said 'Ramakrishna' is not a Ravichandran movie. But his presence
is a big plus for this film that is running successfully all
over the state. 'Ramakrishna' came out as a result of friendship
between producer Balamuttaih and Ravichandran says director
Saiprakash during the get together party at Windsor Manor
arranged by the film troupe. It was Crazy Star Ravichandran's
43rd birthday yesterday and the evening had all the reasons
to celebrate. His family members too were present at the party
hall including many industry professionals.
"Out of 43 years, half of my life is spent with film industry,"
said Crazy Star. He was talking about his present and future
ventures. As he says he has seen enough and more 3 crore-
4 crore films. "Invest 3-4 crores and get a little extra or
lose a little has become a routine and I want to come out
of it. So like in Hindi or Telugu films I will invest more
than
10 crores per project in my films and get more profit," said
very confident
Ravichandran. He has already invested a huge sum on his latest
project Preethsona that introduces his brother Balaji to Kannada
filmdom. But its no more Preethsona - he has changed the title
to 'Aham Premasmi'.
There
was no specific reason for this change. But "Titles like Ondagona
Baa, Preethsona Baa, Preethsod Tappa are sounding overused
and some people chopped these titles off and created new ones
like 'Baa', 'Preethsu' etc. And that is the reason why I came
out of the term 'Preethi' and named the movie 'Aham Premasmi'"
Ravi clarified. Shooting for this film was almost 70% completed
but now it came down to 40% completion as Ravichandran scraped
almost 30% of it. Nothing surprising when it comes to Crazy
Star. He is not a person who compromise on the quality. He
won't conclude until he is satisfied with the outcome. He
is aiming at creating one more 'Premaloka' and such wastage
is pretty obvious in the making!
Two
of Ravichndran's films (Sahukara and Panduranga Vitala) are
due for release while Mallikarjuna is another project of his
yet to launch. Panduranga… was launched almost at the same
time last year and was stopped due to some controversies.
A few months back Ravi led off the project again. So 44th
year may turnout to be lucky for him. His film Malla is still
going great and as per producer Balamuttaiah even Ramakrishna
is receiving good response allover. Moreover, with a clear
aim and confidence he is going great guns and he is capable
of doing it. We wish him all the success in his ventures -
after all, he is the one who brought the richness to our filmdom!
