'Shanthi' impresses UN!
Prof.
Baraguru Ramachandrappa is in news again. His latest offbeat
film Shanthi is being reviewed by the world peace organization
UN (United Nations). Prof. Baraguru received a telephone call
from Meera Sur of Dept. of Economics and Social Affairs (UN
Office) after seeing Shanthi
website and the collaterals developed by viggy.com.
Impressed by the information, the board asked director Baraguru
to send the DVD of Shanthi for review after which, they will
decide about public screening of this film. Prof. Baraguru
Ramachandrappa revealed this while talking to viggy.com.
Shanthi has a single human character throughout played by Bhavana which is a record feature film ever made. This movie is a conceptual creation of world peace depicting the hurdles and many real life obstacles the world is facing today for peaceful environment. Weapons should be used to safeguard peace not for destructive activities is the philosophy of 'Shanthi'. The same has been submitted even for Guinness Record. Another uniqueness of this movie is its music. Flute is the only musical instrument used by Hamsalekha for background scoring as well as to create different moods and it has come out very effectively.
Apparently, Shathi has bagged the State Award this year as Second Best Film. We at viggy.com congratulate Ramesh Yadav-the producer, director Baraguru Ramachandrappa, actress Bhavana and the technicians for a job well done.
