                | | Its a bash time for 'Appu'

 In
today's world, people rarely spend two and half hour in a film theater.
In such situation if any film hit the success mark, it is most probably
bound to Bangalore city and in a few theaters. Overcoming this limitation,
'Appu' - most expected Punit Rajkumar's film has completed
100 days in 24 theaters in Karnataka.
Success of 'Appu' reminds the good old days of Dr. Rajkumar.
Apart from Shivrajkumar's film 'Anand' there was no such films with
such a great success in the recent past. Usually, abusing the hero
with 'slang', which is restricted under most of Raj banner films.
But breaking this barrier, words like 'idiot', 'rascal', 'stupid'….
(list goes…) are used without any hesitation by hero's friends through
              out the film.

Though 'Appu' is a love story, there is not much room for
story. Director Puri Jagannath has played around the situation
very carefully and effectively to bring out the best of Punit in
every frame. He blended the comedy and action without impacting
the main stream of the film.

  With
all these, the celebration bash is all set for 10th August
2002 at Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan at 10 a.m. in the morning.
The Tamil superstar Rajanikanth is the center of attraction
for the morning session being the chief guest and the function is
presided over by Sri Baraguru Ramachandrappa, President Kannada
              Development Board.
In a nutshell, 'Appu' - a fun filled with action, romance
and comedy has beaten many records in the box office leaving behind
many other films by senior actors in collection, according to industry
sources. Lets all hope to see the glory of 'Annavru' in Punit. All
              the best Punit.
