New release this week - Preethi Prema Pranaya of Kavitha Lankesh and Mane Magalu of Radhika

Long awaited Kavitha Lankesh's film Preethi Prema Pranaya has hit the screen this week. Clash between producers and exhibitors related to service tax had a bad impact on this film's release schedule. For PPP, Kavitha put together a huge cast comprising of award winning stars who also have a huge fan following. A musical comedy and a family drama, the film is all about what 'love' means to different age groups. Even before 'Preethi, Prema, Pranaya' hit the screen, it has already created a buzz in the Kannada film industry. Industry pundits are predicting that it is bound to be a super hit. In this film Kavitha Lankesh wares the various hats of direction, story, screenplay and dialogues. Produced by Mano Murthy, Ram Prasad, Dr. Renuka Ramappa and Somashekhar under Indo-Hollywood Films banner this has Mano Murthy's music while cinematography is by A.C. Mahendran. Anant Nag, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Prakash Rai, Sudha Rani, Bhavana, Anu Prabhakar, Sunil Rao, Loknath, Shivaram are among the cast.

Film Mane Magalu having Radhika and Vishal Hegde is releasing this week. This is the third film of Radhika and Sai Prakash combination. First film Tavarige Baa Thagi was a hit film of the year. Second project was Tayi Illada Tabbali. Vandematarm Srinivas, a popular music director and singer from Telugu film industry have scored the music for Mane Magalu. He has scored the music for more than 140 films in Telugu. Through this film he is stepping in to the Kannada film industry. The story of this film gives a social message, awareness about the Pulse Polio. It's a proven subject in Marathi and Telugu. Eight years back Sai Prakash has directed one Telugu film, which was a remake of a Marathi film. Now he is directing Kannada film Mane Magalu with the same story. The film is all about a Polio affected person. Vishal Hegde is playing the role of a handicapped person. He suffers a lot because of his disability. When the society and even his family members refuse to accept him the heroine enters his life. She accepts him with his disability and brings lots of changes in his life.
