Dharshan in a challenging role

These days Dharshan Toogudeep is very busy with his new film 'Namma Preetiya Ramu'. He acted in many films like Majestic, Kariya, Druva, Ninagoskara, Kitti etc. All these are the regular masala films and he was angry young man in most of the cases. But in 'Namma Preetiya Ramu' he is acting a blind's character. This is a sentimental film. Ramu (Darshan) is a blind by birth. Some how he was managing his family - his mother and sister. But the fate won't allow them to live peacefully. A rape of his sister destroy their happiness. Ramu decides to take revenge on the culprits. How he takes revenge is suspense.

Umashree is acting as Ramu's mother, Homsajopi as sister, Navya in his lover role and Dodanna as his friend and adviser. 'Amerika Amerika' fame Nandakumar is producing this film. This is a remake of jury awarded Malayalam film 'Vasantiyum Laxmiyum Pinne Jnanum'. Directed by Sanjay-Vijay, this film has lyrics by Kalyani, Ramnarayan. Music by Ilayaraja.
