'Smile'
- at snail's pace
"This is a different film…" Shivrajkumar had said about his
film 'Smile' during its launch. Some how this film is crawling at
snail's pace. Of course, several films of his are ready for release
including 'Jilladhikaari' and 'Ninne Preetisuve'.
But the producers are not showing interest. Directed by Om Prakash
Rao, Jilladhikaari was hot news during its early shooting days hoping
that it will become another super hit like film AK-47. After the
success of film 'Yajamaana' producer Rehaman is expecting all of
his films to follow the same success line and hence hesitating for
the release of 'Jilladhikaari' Same for the film 'Ninne Preetisuve'
(along with actor Ramesh). While all these films are taking backseat,
Shivrajkumar's latest movie 'Tavarige Baa Thangi' is speeding-up
and may release much before his other films.
Shivrajkumar had expressed two of his wishes during his 40th
birthday last year - staying away from re-make films and stepping
into film direction. Having celebrated his 41st birthday last
month, he has a lot of hopes in the film 'Smile' directed
Sitaram Karanth and 'Tavarige Baa Thangi' directed by Sai
Prakash. Though he kept his promises of staying away from
re-make films, his dream of film direction is still remaining
as a dream. Lets hope his dreams come true.
